c220 cdi coupe rear wheels

Hi There,
Could anyboby advise me about changing my rear wheels+tyres. I have a 2004 c220 cdi sports coupe se.

The car came with an evolution pack fitted 225-45-17 tyres and 7.5" wheels all around.

I now have bought some rear wheels from an evoluton measuring 8.5" wide, looking at wheel+tyre sizes i need to fit 255-40-17 to keep the sizes the same. Could anyone advise if these will fit on the car.

Just to add to my previous question.

If i fit merc spec tyres 245-40-17 would the spedo be out?
could the mercedes garage recalibrate my spedo software?

C220 coupe rear tyres.

managed to fit the Evo Wheels and 255-40-17 tyres.

Looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The set-up is as close as possible to the ideal, being just 5mm bigger circumference.

If you went for the 245/40 17s, they would have been 20mm less in circumference

At 0.24%, yes. Well within asr tolerences.
