C220 Cdi Manual (w203) 53 Reg SMOKES GONE/ REVVING FIXED / BUT STILL KNOCKING

Hi all again, i bought the car in the start, it was knocking / banging heavily and was also smoking badly, i got the car checked and the conrod was bent as well as having a bad fuel injector, i got them both replaced the smoking and most of the banging went away and then it wasnt revving over 3000, i tested the MAF rate, and it was constant and i replaced the MAF and the revving problem is now fixed, now the problem i have is that when the car i started it has very little knocking, but when i revv it the car juggles as well as the knock increases, the mechanic who replaced the conrod, says it is the n/s (passenger) engine mount, which is broken, what i am wanting to know is can a engine mount cause such problems or is it some thing else

A worn engine mount can indeed give the symptoms you mention. Can make you think that main bearings/ big ends are gone or that the gearbox is on its last legs.

Hi, and thanks to the members who have replied i have managed to pickup a used engine mount and he will fit it on thursday and i will let you all know, what response it gives, once again i would like to say thanks to everyone who have cooperated with me especially horgantrevor who has replied to most of my posts, im just hoping that i will be posting a thread to say that my car is fixed (touchwood) and then i can mention all the problems from A so that people have options in the future
