Hello, new to forum and have a problem which I need help with please. Driving home tonight and all of sudden dash lights went out and came on. This happened a number of times, before the words 'DISPLAY FAULT' appeared. Then the words 'SRS FAULT' appeared. When I got home 5 mins later, stopped the car, and restarted it with the same thing happening again. Does anyone know what the fault(s) are please. Oh its a 53 plate C220 cdi. Thank you

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Most SRS faults are to do with the passenger seat plug under the seat ot one of the seat belt fittings,, this can only be re set on STAR equipment. Plugged into STAR this will say what the fault is, and when fixed it can be re set.

An indie is the cheapest way to go

A star test will be required to get the fault codes read.

I would suspect a instrument cluster fault itself, or a can network fault possible due to a sam error. Really needs the codes read.

SRS Error

We have had a Airbag SRS error display for a while. Had it put on a machine and got error B1055/54/57/58 'drives seat belt/siganl line short/risistance to low/ . However it does not say exactly it is. I liked at the seat and can see no pressure sensor - is there one? Cant fins a wiring diagram anywhere that shows anything. I have ordered a new stalk to try that, but its a stab the dark. Any ideas will be appreciated. (also got window airbag problem BUT it has no window airbags!)

The first fault is the seat belt buckle itself, we change lot of these, as for the other fault, that will be a coding fault, needs going on star to correct the coding......
