Help,

Jst spent 3 hours trying to remove the panel to reconnect my rear wiper pipe as it popped off during th frost and courtesy of my wife, is now filling the boot panel.

Removed all the plastic screws/clips and can pull away the section round the boot release/lock, but as soon as i try to pull away the side sections, no joy stuck fast and dont want to force it and break.

Has nyone got any digrms photos or just an idea on how i can remove t trim to get the liner out an refit the pipe.

Thanks

If it's a W203 you have to lift them out then back, they are a bit tricky but you have to give them a yank

I can't count how many times I have done this. I have had to reconnect the pipe many times, changed the wiiper motor and scraped the rust off under the rear numberplate plastic surround. All of the jobs require the trim to be removed.

You just have to be bold. Once the bottom trim section is off, you need to pull off the panel. There are two metal clips at the top of the panel that go into plastic, and I think about 4 plastic clips over the rest of the panel. (Maybe there should be more, I have probably lost a few over the years).

The side of the trim fits into slots on the trim under the window, so start from the bottom and pull the trim off, easing out the sides at the end.

I would be very surprised if you break anything, perhaps a plastic clip, but you probably don't need them all.

Best of luck!

Malcolm thanks for your help, those sheets were perfect. Got the panel off and reconnected the wiper hose. Though it is a bit daunting when you here there first catch pop out. Oh well brute strength won in the end. Thanks once again

Another Newbie Requires Help Please

Would it be possible to e-mail me the tailgate liner removal instructions please. I am sure the washer was working when I first had the car but since I filled the reservoir: no fluid at the rear. Thanks

I can do that with an email address, but is this not a problem where the pipe comes off in the rear corner or under the glovebox, it could well be in the tail gate,

Hi television.
I know the thread is a bit old but are you still able to post instructions for removal of tailgate inner trim panel for S203?
Thanks
