Hearing a lot about this problem, off side front knocks over certain bumps at slow to medium speed. Worsens with slight left hand lock on, but Merc say they have changed the tie bar link which is the common fault. also had play in same wheel which was diagnosed as bearing clearances. The adjustment didn't cure the problem but a new shocker and 2 days in the shop did. Have been living with the knock which seems to be dependent on temperature also (worse when cold)
Any help appreciated, before tackling Merc again.
