C220 heated seats

Hi guys, I have just fitted heated seats (aftermarket) to my wifes C220 sports coupe and to finish it off I am looking for an ignition only live supply in the fusebox by the side of the dash at the drivers door. Everything I touch with my voltage tester is live permanently. Does anyone know which of the supplies in this area are only live with the key on?

The radio and cigar lighter is key 1 and 2 so that would be OK.

But owing to the current drawn by these heaters, why not put a relay in, operated from the radio feed, and they contacts of the relay can be taken via a fuse to any 12 live buss bar

Hi Malcolm, I believe the comand unit is permanently live as I sometimes have the radio on when I wash the car. The seat kit comes with a relay and requires one permanent live and one from the ignition, (obviously to avoid flat battery situations). I will try the cigar lighter. Thanks for the help.
