Greetings,
My C220 has done 99,000 miles...
Offlate I hv been encountering probs with the car..
The car lunges forward when I shift from park to drive and reverse..though it is more prominent when shifting to drive..
Also the engine has become a bit noisy and there is a humming sound when driving the car..more like a worn bearing..The engine idles at 700-800 rpm...
The shift is not smooth and is sticky..
What could be the problem...the trans oil level is adequate...
The dealer says he will have to dismantle the transmission to see what is wrong...and expects the cost to 2000 USD...
Could any one help...
Is this a faulty kickdown solenoid or a vacumm leak or the drive belts?
