C220CDI Tyre Wear

Hi all,

Got a puncture yesterday and was suprised to find only 2.5mm tread left on my rear tyres. Original Goodyear eagle tyres, with the car only covering 12500 miles. I bought the car with 7500 on the clock and I haven't been known for wheel spinning!!!!! Has anyone else with a CDI noticed heavier tyre wear on the rear?

Rear tyres will usually wear out before front ones on RWD vehicles.
Some people change them around diagonally at half life; Other just change the back ones.
Performance tyres, like some types of Eagles, are not known for long life, although 12,500 is on the low side. Other factors like correct air pressure, driving style, road surface etc, and the type size/type, together whether a front/rear swap occured.
