C220D losing ALL electrics!!!

Hi Guys, this is my first post on here.

I have a c class 220 diesel 1998 and my problem is that I lose all my electrics completely and i mean all, no lights on dash etc. I turn the key back and forth a couple of times and then they come back on!!! cant seem to find anything in the faq's so thought that you guys might know??

Any help or ideas much appreciated.

Hi Vic and welcome to the forum.
First thing to do may seem 'primary school' stuff but very important. Don't assume your battery terminals are good because they LOOK good - remove and thoroughly clean battery posts and terminals and refit, then take it from there. If necessary come back.
