I am inheriting the above vehicle and have been told that the auto gearbox occasionally slips under hard acceleration. Could this be an electro-plate issue?

Not really, check the fluid level to start with.

The pilot bushes can leak, and as Richard in the above post the fluid could be low, it is easy to check the fluid level and the condition of the fluid

Just driven the car from the UK to Spain, through very cold weather. No major issues i am pleased to say. However, sometimes the car doesnt seem to want to pull under acceleration and the revs creep up very slowly. Also occasional mis-firing udner acceleration. New plugs were fitte 3 weeks ago! ANy ides?

You need the fault codes read as it could be the MAF, HT leads or coil packs. Best not to play an expensive guessing game.

Ta nw merc. My mechanic in spain doesnt have star diagnostic. Any other way to get codes?
