Hallo everybody,
Just became the proud owner of a black 1997 c230 kompressor sport which I bought at the weekend. Love it (and the price £900!!!) but it has a couple of problems that I'm hoping one of you kind/knowledgable members can help with please
There is a strange hissing noise coming from what sounds like the air vent on the drivers side which goes when the accelerator pedal is touched. As soon as you take your foot off the accelerator it comes back. Happens at all speeds and is fairly loud ?
Also the heater blower/aircon does not work at all at any settings, it is completely dead ? Not sure if this is conneceted or not ?
Finally the passenger side wing mirror glass is very lose, is it an easy job to push it back on ?
Thank you in advance for all your replies.....please.....
Love the car though and generally in excellent condition
Kind Regards

Ian

Hello Ian and welcome,,the hissing should be the vacuum pipe has come off the headlamp height control under the dash

The heater could be the fan motor needs new brushes. You should check the fuse first. when the motor only runs on the slowest setting the regulator has gone

The cover can be taken off the mirror to see what has happened there
