Firstly a big thank you to everyone so kind enough to send replies to my threads, thank you.
I'm learning a hell of a lot from this website, thank you :)
My question this time is I get around 45 miles max to £10 of fuel and this equates to roughly 24 miles to the gallon....ouch !!!!
Love the car but how thirsty ???
Any tips on improving fuel economy ?, would a pipercross or k&n filter help ?
Also has anybody got any kind of literature/manuals etc. for a c230 kompressor sport auto that they could kindly e-mail me/point me in the right direction.

Many thanks to all
Regards
Ian

The K & N would not help, and cause more problems than it is worth,,is the car getting up to full working temp, the book gives urban at 20.9 mpg,,extra urban 39.8, combined at 30

Ok, I'll have to leave the k&n alone then !
The temp sits between 80 and 100.
As you know Malcolm there are a few niggly probs.
Strangely (just been out in the car) the kompressor problems seem to have gone ?
Think the manifold is blowing slightly though.
All in all (considering I paid just £900 for it) I'm very pleased with it.
I've given it a new oil/filter change and changed the air filter. Temporarily fixed the blower motor (very proud of myself!) but a bit of a bodge job.
Cheers
Ian

Maybe a good tune would help as I forgot to mention that before I bought it it had been off the road for a good few months.

The blowing exhaust manifold does not help things

A good service as said and repair the manifold leak as stated as that will knock your MPG.
No such thing as a good tune these days as it all ECU controlled.
