I recently had a diagnosis of faulty Cam shaft magent. This has since been replaced and the car still struggles to accelerate when warming up.
Basically from a cold start it will run like a train until the engine temp reads just under 80, at this point it enters a strange sort of safe mode (where the engine seems choked and takes an age to accelerate). However after running for another 10-15 minutes it reverts back to running normally.
After the Cam Magnet was changed it hasnt been put back on STAR to reset the fault. Could it be that it needs to have the fault code reset to run normally all the time?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Looks like you need to use STAR.

I have seen somewhere that maf or air intake temp sensor might cause your problems. Have u checked it?

Yea more likely something simple like maf or coils packs. Cant think why they would think the cam magnet was a good idea

Thanks. MAF was changed about 3 weeks ago. Brand new Bosch one not a cheap chinky import.
It is certainly running better since the magnet was changed (as this was the fault code that was given by STAR) but i just have that strange phase where it runs rough for a short while. After that its fine.

Intake air temperature sensor . Where is it? Is it integrated with maf or seperate? Live data scan would be good if no fault codes are present .

Well, you still need to read codes to see if previous has been cleared.
You must check air intake. If this is ok then go further.

230k. Is kompressor ok? Is it operated with vaccum or by sensor?

As Rob said it could be coil pack. Maybe egr is your car has one?

Seems the previous diagnosis of a faulty cam magnet was incorrect and should have been the camshaft position sensor that was changed!!!
