hi,
on my C238 (E400), the drivers side quick release handle on the drivers seat, which you use to move the seat back forward to let passengers in the back of the Coupe, no longer pulls the seat forward, and there is no resistance to it, i looked at it briefly and i think it has a cable much like a gear changing cable in a bicycle that has become detached or snapped,

how would i go about repairing this ? has anyone done the job or has job instructions from Mercedes to resolve this?

cheers in advance

Seat back off I would have thought. Might be useful to find an online parts diagram @AMGeed has some good links

ok problem solved (for now),
by moving my seat as far forwards as the controls allowed, and by using 2 small stiff wires I was able to pull the cable out from it's hidden spot and man-handle it back into where it needed to be (in the plastic hole that forms part of the lever). Again, the cable is VERY like a bicycle gear cable complete with a metal end that slots into position, and what happened is it simply popped out over time.

Below are some photos of how I fixed it including the tools used to do that job, I'm very happy now!
