C238 (E400) had a service A1, but once confirmed by indy, my car tells me i need a service B 47000km's ago...

here's an odd one for you,
I had my car serviced by my indy, nothing special an A1 service, the last service was a year ago, B1, I started seeing the prompt to get a service about a month ago and it stated the type of service, A1...

after the service was completed the indy claims to have used the on screen menu to confirm that service was done, but once done, the 'service assist' message on my lcd stated that a B service was needed 40700 kilometers ago, and i certainly didn't notice any prompt to get that service in the last year or so...

how is that possible, is the car confused ? I logged mercedes.me app and it also states the same,

any ideas about this weird behaviour ?

Maybe indy didn't confirm the service. The sequence of the buttons can be confusing.

Plenty of vids of youtube, I would be inclined to reset it myself.

Yes known fault, I expect it’s on your 5th reset this occurred. You need an update on one of the control units.

An indie with an online star diagnostics can do update. It’s the power train control unit.

thanks, so if my car has been reprogrammed from 333bhp to 400bhp (it has), will this update wipe that out ?

It shouldn’t as it’s only the ptcu.
