I,ve a C240 on an X new shape and done 35K and I,m having to change the front drop links and also the torsion bar which is a mod from the original. Anyone else had to do this or had the mod done anyway?

DROP LINKS

Thanks Pie
I did ask and was told the torsion bar was a mod and not a recall. No mention of the drop links and I was unaware of their potential short life.
Is there a list anyware you could find potential problems with your model so you could be fore-armed.

Drop links on mine were gone at 25k...dealer told me the knocking was normal and there was nothing could be done.....another dealer told me they cost ?12 each and replacing them was a cinch and that they only last about 25k. I just replace them every second service now. Got 41k on my front tyres so I know it's not hard driving.
