C250 td auto gearbox oil change

Hi

I have a 1997 C250td sport auto, it has 77,000 miles and is showing it's due a service 1 spanner in 900 miles time, i have had the car 18 months, and it has had full merc history until now, is it due gearbox oil change now ????

Yes i would definately change the oil and filter ..some suggest 40K for first change
