C250 TD

Hi all, brand new member, 1st post so if I'm doing something wrong tell me. I have a couple of Q's - tell me, where is the oil filter on the C250 TD, I can see the oil drain plug on the r/h corner of the sump - but from the top I can't see the oil filter.

Also, the heat in the car is not what I would "roasten" the fan is working ok and the temp gauge is normal - is there a pollen filter somewhere that could be blocked.

I should add this is my first Merc - so far so good.

Hi, the oil filter is under a black plastic cap at the rear top of the engine on the n/s you need a big socket to unscrew it, the pollen filter is in the passenger footwell remove the under dash panel and its has 2 sliding clips holding it in.

Taxi - just cleaned out the pollen filter - I'll get a replacement tomorrow - its like a different car the heat woulf put you out.
