C250 Treg Estate tail gate/ can't open

Unable to open tailgate, have removed trim but nothing obvious.
can hear the central locking work on tailgate but it reamains shut fast.
Please help.

I have sent you the lock removal instructions, but I do not know if they will help.

A little more here and you can see the connecting rod 26
that opens it.
