had my car since november car has failed to start 3 times since,the last time it happened (mon) i changed the battery,since when on 2 occasions it took quite a few turns to fire up.could it be glow plugs?
while i have had the car the BAS ASR light comes on occasionally

could be glow plugs i has mondeo that did same colder the weather was harder it was to start changed plugs it was fine again not that they are any where near same car but maybe worth changine how many miles since they were last done

Being a diesel do look for any air bubbles in the fuel pipes, either on or around the filter including the reurn to tank.

When cars with this fault are parked on a slope,,try leaving it the other way round

As Television says, look for air leaks. This is a known problem with 605- and 606-engined cars
