I have an intermittent misfire normally, but not always, when the engine is under light load. The car also produces an occasional, undemanded, momentary surge of acceleration. Two fault codes are stored,1470 boost pressure control and 1630 immobiliser. The former seems more feasible to me.Does anyone out there have knowledge of the various sensors that control the boost, and the chances of them failing ? Would the MB dealers computer nail the problem to a specific component ?
Many thanks.

No not really, the Snap On can read the engine faults. I do not know that much about diesels.

The charge air pipe is known to split or leak, and this affects the engine performance suddenly
