c300 phone book issue

No such thking as a C300 - do you mean C320?
If so, MB didn't put a stand alone phone in that model afaik. The phone book is driven by the handset you are using, normally downloading it within a min or so of plugging in the phone. The bluetooth cradle can be a it more awquard - which are you using?

In the Comand system you have a menu to "read phone book", "change or add an entry" or "Copy note book"
