Used to have a C63...
In what way please
It's mainly smoother power delivery and better mid-range torque (which is typically the bit we feel & use most in day-to-day driving... especially on the public road). Unless you're a regular at the traffic light Grand Prix, it's these gains that are more telling than the simple 0-60 times. ("Usable performance", if you will).

A good map (and mapper!) will also deliver a little more towards the upper end of the rev range, and they generally won't be detrimental to the engine (or drivetrain) unless the car is ragged senseless on a regular basis, but then...

I had my old CLS 320 mapped by MSL - it wasn't night & day difference, just smoother & a little more urgent across the range, which was exactly what I was after, with no recorded detriment to fuel economy either.

Dreaming of a CL55k - one day maybe....
MSL and GAD are the guys to talk to although I am sure there are other good ones - these guys are known to the forum and do a good job.

Where are you based?
