different cars and different exhausts react differently. removing the mid box may be perfect in this case. regarding the MOT, removing the silencer wont affect emissions as long as the joints where its sleeved seal properly. regarding the noise, it can only be failed if its deemed excessive. although no one ever checks it IIRC the police set the excessive noise level at 96db if they could be bothered to get the meter out and test it properly! how many boy racers would be in tears at having to buy new exhausts then though??? loads id bet!
