My rear discs and pads are getting ready to be replaced on my 2009 s204 c320 cdi sport estate i tow a caravan with this vehicle and would like to know if i can cross drilled discs in place of the vented discs that are currently fitted just to give me a better braking performance the car is fitted with cross drilled up front so i would think the rears would compliment the fronts in theory. Thanks in advance guys for your thoughts on this.

Cross drilled brakes do nothing for performance on road cars. The drillings reduce the contact patch of the pad on the disk making the brake less effective. The only benefit to drilling is that it allows gases from the pad to escape instead of being trapped between pad and disk. The gases are only a problem as you approach the point of brake fade. The drawback is unless the hole is cast in it creates a stress point for cracks to form.
Grooved discs are a better option but are noisy.
Personally I'd stick with what it has as even when towing I'd be surprised if rear discs are being stressed all that much.
