Hi everyone, for those interested I thought id make a quick build thread.
It all started when the standard turbo gave up. This was sent off and turned into a hybrid making it a gt2365. Went for tuning at a reputable tuner only managed 280bhp, the tuner believed the pre turbine exhaust back pressure was so high the engine was "stalling".
In April/May I got around to making a 3inch turbo back exhaust this made a noticeable difference in boost lag and data logging showed the airflow had increased throughout the rpm range.
This week I have finally got round to upgrading the intercooler and pipework this week. One of the photo's shows how restrictive the standard pipework is in places. All custom 63mm pipework as there is nothing readily available, throttle body delete all held together with some heavy duty clips. I haven't cut the bumper yet, if the boost temps are still a bit high I shall modify the bumper to allow better airflow.
Will get some data logging done when the roads are quiet.
