C350e 2015, 2litre
I recently purchased a 2017 C350e with 15,000 miles on the clock
It is a superb car and I love driving it, however, I cannot get the hybrid battery to charge more than 9 miles. Occasionally, it will go to 10/11 but not very often.
I took it back to Mercedes Dorchester, they had it for a couple of days and said that everything was working as it should, nothing wrong with it. They could not charge it any higher however, but said it would improve depending on driving style...it hasn't.

I am not a novice with hybrids, I chopped in an Audi A3 Etron for this and I regularly got 30 miles electric range over 3 years.

Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks
Hi, I have owned a C350e for 6 years and love the quality of the interior and air suspension but range has always been an issue. I suppose i average about 70mpg but i only do about 50 miles a week on petrol, rest is town. This car will do about 9/10 miles in the summer and about 6 when it's really cold, if you reset it it will go back to near 19 but after it averages out your driving style it will be back to 9/10. I took it into MB service and they said it was my driving style, i am not a boy racer ha ha. I did complain to MB customer service but again they said it was my driving style and the range they give in the brochures is a guide, try telling the salesmen that !
If you can put up with charging every day and you do less than 10 miles then great otherwise it's a no, but most hybrids will be the same, obviously technology moves on but i would half what they say on PHEV's. I have test driven a EQA and did around 60 miles in it and it registered 60 miles use but that's in the summer. So i guess i will get around 200 miles from the stated 250 ! Mind you at least i won't have to plug it in every day, or do i just keep the C350e ha ha.

Good luck

I had my 350e on lease and liked it so much that I have bought it. Yes the electric mileage is an issue and suggests that he car was aimed at company car drivers such as me (I originally had it on a novated lease through my company) who took advantage of the lower rate of Benefit in Kind. However, I don't think you should concentrate on electric mileage per se as to me it's also about where you do that mileage. Most of my mileage around town is on battery and that has to be a good thing for the environment.
