C36 AMG fog lights/ in dash display temp gauge not working

My fog lights only come on when on high beam. but does it work if you put in on low beam? is it a fault or is it normal...cos i want it to work with the low beam, like other cars.

And the other problem is that in the fuel gauge(left) the outside tempearture gauge doesnt illuminate, usually it should cos i saw it on other C36's.

please help......

That doesn’t sound normal to me as my fog lights, front and rear work when sidelights/dipped beam are on and light switch knob is pulled out two stops.

EDIT you may not have an outside temperature gauge fitted, if that is the case there will just be a blanking cover where the little window is.

The lights in the spoiler are driving/spot lights on the pre 97 c36, the fog lamps are in the headlamps like regular c classes of that age. Full beam puts on the driving lights, when dipped beam is on you will see the fog lamps on the inner side of the headlamps when activated.

Temperature gauge can dim with age/dodgy connections/bad bulbs hard to tell but quite easy to live with if you're not that bothered.
