I'm just sitting here looking at a a very clean looking C43, parked outsde my neighbour's house. Silver on a T reg, glass sunroof.
Does that sound right...T-reg?
I had a quick peek inside on the way home from the gym this morning..... black leather, auto box (looked to have 4-3-2-1 on the gearbox selector, so I presume it's a five-speed). AMG white instruments and AMG embossed wheel, so it's the genuine bedouin.
Surprised to see it has no headlamp wash or wash-wipe, I thought all AMG's came loaded with kit.
I realise I know next to nothing about these cars.
My colleague who sold me my SLK said he had one, and it was the car that he missed the most out of all his cars he's ever owned, which is intriguing.
I'm guessing it's a V8, and not supercharged?
So when in the AMG chronology do these fit in with the C36 and C32?
Do I recall correctly that BigAstonUK has one?
Must be a pretty impressve drive, small car and big engine is always a recipe for fun.
Anyone want to enlighten me?

C43 is an N/A v8. Bigastonuk has a very nice example.

Hi,
C43 AMG was manufactured I believe from 1997 (R) to 1999 (V or W), and were the first AMG model to be solely made by MB after their purchase of AMG (C36's were manufactured as C280's and then given to AMG to be converted to a C36).
Headlamp wash/wipe was an option even on the C43 (unless Xenons were fitted as an option).
The C43 AMG was fitted with a V8, 24 valve, normally aspirated engine, producing 306 BHP and 306 ib's ft. torque, and were all fitted with the 5 speed auto gearbox.
The 2000 model had different alloy wheels and Tiptronic gear change and updated software on the transmission ECU.
