Cabriolet problem

Hi everyone
I own an 02 clk 320 cabriolet
Headrests go up and down but light stays on switch when down, consequently roof wont operate,
I can operate manually by releasing pressure on hydraulic system but obviously I want the electrics to work.
Please could someone help with some advice. Many thanks in advance.

First thing I would check would be the fuses relating to the roof. I take it the battery is fully charged?

Yes the battery is new, the headrests stuck at the top, I reset them, by holding the switch in up position for 8 seconds but after that the light stays on.
