caliper paint ( best colour )

i have a c class W203 in black and was lookin for advice on caliper colour as its standard silver now u know the 1`s with the vented discs ?.
time for a change any pics of black cars would be great also tinted all windows didn`t like them took them off and now wandering about just getting back windows done lol lol any help would b good.............

Tinted windows are dangerous, even with just the back ones tinted there will be some time whilst you are driving that it is essential that you can see clearly from all possible angles, in the interest of the safety of others dont do it.

My car has clear glass and rusty coloured calipers.

Black is the only colour acceptable for a set of mercedes calipers, unless you have chrome wheel arches ..then the world is your oyster, but they must be in keeping with the bullbar..

thanks so far . but was wandering about red as i see a load of black cars wi red calipers done . yes granted they may be the odd porche , Q7 , or A.M.G but they look the dugs nuts lol.............

Agreed, I always get a smile when looking at the painted brake drums on the cold hatches

If you are painting them, make it black, looks the part on a proper car.
Red is for punto's with 18" wheels and brake discs the size of large washers......naff....usually driven by a baseball hatted type.

Hi,
Was considering tinting the windows in the AMG because of how hot the black leather seats got in sun, take your skin off if you were wearing shorts.
But quickly overcame my madness and settled on fitting genuine MB blinds for the rear window and doors

I have curtains in the back of the 560; much classier and not one person has ever accused me of being a chav because of this.

For those who wish to reduce the heating from solar radiation, IR stop films are available from 3M which give very high attenuation of IR and very little in the visible range with a slight pale blue tint (like triplex sundim but much better), My experience of this material was on bus/coach windows used for european/ mediteranian touring, it was very effective and easy to install you just wet the film and apply it to very clean glass with a soft cloth.

The coaches had rust coloured drum brakes and polished alloy wheels.

but wat about the back tints? pic needed or even a chop plz.....

I have rear tints on mine and I think they look nice. They were already done when I bought it. Only problem is it's peeling on one of the rear windows at the top where it's pushed into recess when it closes. When it's fully closed or fully open it's not noticeable.

I recently had dark smoke tints to the rear side and boot windows of my W203 coupe. Great job and much cooler for my 2 year old in the back. Was a bit concerned about visibility at night but no problem whatsoever.
