Just to add, its the same relay on the 220 model which controls the air-matic pump, that then burns out!! loads of cash due to a relay!!

nope sorry pal, was a momentary lapse, i thought you were psychic;)

ie a 203 200k, engine light on the dash, fault code; secondary air injection malfunction, air flow too low.

cant think of code at hand,

the valve is located at back of head, operated by vacuum,
had a few problems with one lately, all sorted now i hope,
was just wondering if you guys have experienced it,

Check the small pipe under the engine ECU and the gubbings, seen them spilt and give the same fault code!!

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
different system on the 111 engine, works via vacuum which opens valve and gives increased air flow into throttle housing,

I will read it up and see what I can make of it

first thing we checked, the filter below the valve was seriously blocked, changed this, all vacuum pipes are ok, erased fault,
after 1 week, car back with same fault.
had it in this week and hopefully now sorted, was just wondering if you guys have had this one and what you did to remedy it?
