Cam belt change

At what mileage on a 98 c class does the cam belt need to be changed and how much should I be paying for it?

I may be wrong, but I thought that most Mercs, have timing chains and therefore you avoid the need to get them changed as frequently as Cam Belts

You are probably right, I haven't got a clue about these things. What kind of maintenance is required for a timing chain.

not a lot really............as long as its not thrashing about and making a racket, forget about it....thats the beauty of timing chains....they can go for big mileages! :lol:
