cam belt ?

hi i just bought a 92 230te and was searching through all the reciepts and literature to see when the cam belt was last replaced and found nothing. so my guess is that either its got a chain or interlocking gears, could anybody shed some light please.

It's a chain no service replacement as with T/belt usually will become noisy and give you plenty of warning if and when it does eventually need replacing
