Hello Friends,

Im looking to replace my camshaft magnets on my C180 Kompressor 2004. Any idea where i could get these parts without takong it to the garage. Iv tried ECP and The like. No joy.

MB. Give Mercedes Grangemouth a call and they'll give you a discount if you mention this place. I doubt you'll have much luck with third party ones.

Kiwi i have now contacted them mentioning this place so hopefully they can help and its not to expensive.
Cam magnets are normally about £32 for genuine. I replaced mine a few months ago. I ended up with the dreaded rattle a month later but this was not related!

Its not the rattle particularly with mines it seems to be a leak that im trying to diagnose

Its not the rattle particularly with mines it seems to be a leak that im trying to diagnose
I always replace the o rings as well. . Can you see oil on the connectors? I use a scotch pad to clean engine body once removed. Try not to get any fibers in the engine but they would normally be burnt up.

I just used a little gunk to clean the majority of the oil. Them put everything back together and today hey presto the leak is on the right hand side at the bottom.

Is it not always on the bottom? Like flat tyres are only flat at the bottom :)
Anyway. Hope you got it sorted? Did you replace the o-ring?
