Can a impact socket be used on a torque wrench instead of a chrome one?

I have some 1/2 inch drive sockets which I want to use on my 3/8inch drive torque wrench, for that I need a adapter, will this work? I also have a impact gun so the dual functionality would be useful for me, would using the adaptor on the torque wrench affect the torque values?

What you describe can certainly be done, should be no problem.

As for affecting the values then yes, it would slightly, though not to any detriment I wouldn't have thought. A long extension would be more of an issue due to the length/twist involved but, as an adapter is only relatively short, it should be fine.

No problem torque is torque as long as the lever does not change.
