can alloys be repaired

had a puncture on the 55 at the weekend gone to have tyre mended and found the wall to be knackered put new tyre on and noticed the wheel is buckled very badley:?
took other wheel off and checked that and found that to be buckled(to a lesser degree) as well so took tyre off and found the wall of the tyre to be u/s (all rubber particles in tyre)
havn't got a clue how it happened :???:
called merc £400+ +vat each
just wondered if you can straighten buckled wheels and would it be safe on such a fast car
just to note :- they are not cracked or broken just out of shape like an egg (not funny)

I made enquires regarding some 18" wheels I had fitted on a previous car
and was advised that the repairs were never 100% successful and certainly did not warrant the cost.Buy new ones and be safe. Try this site prices look very good.

Its usually pot holes and things like that that damage the wheels that badly, if they're bent out of shape, its prob best not to repair them and replace them. I think I would only be comfortable repairing kerb damage

called merc at york and they matched the £350 each inc vat that murray systems quoted me and its on account so no hassle having to put money in bank

will collect friday morning and have them fitted by dinner
