Hi all,

Just wondered if or how i would go about changing my forum name, when i joined i only had a C class so picked a name relevant however have now got an S class as well and want to reflect this in my forum name.

Silly question i know, but when it comes to using computers i am about as savvy as your average house brick.

Thanks in advance to all those who will be able to help

I wouldnt worry about it Chris-I have never even owned a 190E but registered as that because I was asking questions for a mate. Went on to buy a W124 300 TE and a W211 E320 CDi !!

Hi Malcolm and John,

I might change it to Pain in the a***, then you would know who i am straight away;):)

Actually thats a good point you make about nobody knowing who i am so i might just leave it as is, i do still plan to keep my 'C' class so its not entirely wrong.

Thanks for your good advice;)

I didn't consciously choose mine - was just filling in the form truthfully, only to find out later what I had done! In those days, I don't think changing the name was allowed?

Still, at least I can remember it, as opposed to the passwords I have for the myriad of other websites and e-accounts. It is a bit of a worry when others offer to "send the boys round" though, in response to my efforts!! ;)

Mayday

Help - when I submitted the post above, my score went down by 10, rather than up. Any clues?:confused::confused:

Forum names cannot be changed by moderators, perhaps an admin (tomv) could do it however I've not seen it done.

Hi Malcolm,

Thank you for the sanity check!

I understand that posts in the Benz Free Zone do not count - I assume that this was the point of blobcat's post? - but the total was 118 and went down.

We have a benchmark here - you started a Thread when I hit 1,000, and it is easy to count from that point. They are by no means all in the BFZ.

Posts per day were 3.0 this morning and is now less in spite of more than 3 posts since, so something has happened.

Hi Alex as per my post in the other thread post count can go down if posts are moved to the benz bin or are removed from the art gallery. The art gallery is for pictures only so all discussion is removed therefore any one who has posted a comment in the art gallery will see their post count drop when the posts are removed.

Post counts can go down when things are moved, and when things are moved it normally says so in the original post section

If they go down does that mean your age goes backwards as well in keeping with the lower count, if so Alex has found the elixir of life:eek:, soon have to buy him a Matchbox Merc :p:p
