Hi, we’ve got a 2017 E class estate and would like to know how to change the satnav screen setting as at nighttime it switches to black and both the husband and I are struggling to read it. Help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Not sure about brightness levels but you can disable the nighttime mode in the options somewhere .... then it may be too bright at night but your choice ...

I would have thought there was a brightness setting in the menus on the screen. There is on the earlier cars?

Fairly sure there is a brightness setting. I think it is tied to the brightness for the instrument cluster too on the newer cars.

If you go into the settings and look for the display options if I recall correctly there is a brightness setting in there.

As per above you can change the brightness and auto etc, I found the display in my E was great left on auto so your brightness might have been turned down previously.

I despair driving at night seeing from miles behind the radiation glow burning the retinas of some people with their satnavs of phones stuck to the screen on full day brightness. Their night vision will be seriously impaired but it doesn't see to bother them...
