Can I use Unleaded Petrol, W126 380SEC with 500 117 engine ?

I have searched these forums, and find various references to 'a list' of which engines are OK on unleaded.

Can someone point me to this list ?

...or tell me if I am OK to use unleaded in a 1986 380SEC fitted with a 500 engine. Engine number 117 963.

Looking inside the fuel flap won't help, it is not the original engine.
