I posted this on the introduction pages but haven't got much response. I am sure someone on here will know the answers but perhaps in this section they are more likely to see the questions.

Hi Guys,

I have just joined up as I have a couple of questions that you guys may be able to help me with. My car has been in the garage and come up with a few error codes regarding the brakes. Now the garage advised I ask on here if anyone knows what the codes are saying is the problem as they could end up spending a lot of time and money testing things to try to work it out. The codes are;

C1141 - electronic stability program brake pressure sensor - B34 plausibility error
C1038 - engine ECU not identified, or incorrect
C1112 - speed sensor front right L6/2 signal fault
C1102 - speed sensor front left L6/1 signal fault.

The other question is simply what length dip stick do I need for this engine.

I would appreciate any information and thank you in advance.

Cheers

James

I can't help with the codes buddy , where do you live so members can recommend a decent MB Indy in your area so you have the codes interpreted by a Mercedes star computer .

When you say what length dipstick , do you mean for the gearbox ATF . I'm assuming your engine oil dipstick must be there already ?

Hi,

I live in Nottingham. I mean the oil dipstick as it only comes with the online computer version of checking the levels. I would like the option to check myself the old way also.

Thanks

I an highly recomend MB Center over next to the racecourse, looked after my cars for years and very honest with work they do, they will charge about £60 for diagnostics but that's taken off the final bill if you have work done.

As V6 Matty says above , a recommendation for a good Indy will save you money by cutting out the guess work .
For the dipstick , give MB Grangemouth a ring and mention you are a forum member for a good discount
