Hello.
I'm hoping for some info on how best to approach my problem.
My car is a Sept 95 C220 CDI Auto with electronically actuated turbo wastegate.
Sometimes the car runs fine but mostly it seriously lacks power, suggesting an intermittent fault.
A diagnostic check (non dealer but good f.i engineer) reads "turbo overboost".
I am thinking that it's maybe a sticking actuator and was wondering if anyone knows whether it can be changed in situ and if a new one would need any sort of setting up?
There's a few turbo specialists who say that they can ultrasonic clean the actuator. Has anyone had any joy doing this?
Thanks a lot for your help.
Peter.
