can you help i'v lost 4th gear

hello i hav an old BMC ambulance that has a mercedes engine&box, i think it came out of a 207, but i dont know. i am looking for a replacment gear box or a exploded view so i can see if i can fix it my self.i have lost 4th gear, it still go's in but has no drive. i heard no noise wen it went and it still runs ok in outher gears. the id plate on the gearbox says
"Mercedes benz AG"
BENZ G1/18-5/4.7
Aggr.nr/le 711.113
forti-nr 383398
i am having probs finding the engine number, all i can find
in the engine casting is 601 011 14 01 - 24e 91 and on the sump is R601 014 10 02
can you help identify wot model it may hav come out of, or know of any one who can?

Hi, it could be an OM601 engine. It sounds similiar to the diesel engines used in the W115 series. What is the cubic capacity and what year is the ambulance?

thank you very much for your help. it apers to be a 208/210 engine
the ambulanceis a 1968 bmc ld. the engin and box are not original.
i dont know the engine size. can any one help with my gear box?

From the list of numbers you give your gearbox appears to be a 711.113.

If they're like the later cars, the 711.113 and 711.110 will be fundamentally the same box with minor differences for the model it was installed in

I'd pull the box, locate a replacement with the closest model number you can find, and compare them to see if it is suitable
