Hi
I bought an SLK yesterday (2000 2.3) but the grey interior trim shows signs of wear on the interior door handle. Is there any way this can be touched up to disguise the marks left by people wearing rings?
Thanks everyone! 8)

I believe there are firms that fix up interior trim - e.g. screw holes left by carphones. Perhaps the chipsaway boys do it. Failing that, you dealer should be able to advise who they use.

Spooky, welcome to the SLK club :)

When we were buying an SLK we saw that the damage you describe was on all the cars, and we called it the "Bling" factor, that is too many rings, big watches etc. The damage was mainly on the interior door handles and on the centre console going for the handbrake.

although I have not personally used them Woolies http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/ comes highly recommended. They will make up touch up paint for you from a small sample. I have seen the before and after of using their products and it works perfectly.

Mark.
