Can't open boot

    Your Mercedes:
    C220 CDI SPORT AUTO / 2000 / 2151 CC
    Removed the battery from the boot of my Mercedes C220 CDI Sport Auto for charging and accidently shut the boot lid down.
    Now, because the battery is out of the car, drivers door open with the key blade - but NOT the boot lid.

    Any suggestions of how to open it up.

    Can you try the drivers door using the key blade?

    2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
    You could try spraying in some wd40 and try wriggling the key, something that vibrates is good held on the key as it can shake the levers back down.

    If you can open the bonnet, you have a charging point half way down the front wing under a plastic cover

    Open the black box outlined in Red in small picture and put Positive+ 12v to 2 or 3 and Negative – to a good metal earth… operate the remote unlock button on the remote fob and boot will open even if the battery is absent.

    Use a battery charger or other battery.
