Does anyone know, if you unlock the doors, throw the keys in, will the doors self lock?

Do you mean self lock via keyless, then on the newer cars no it won’t, on older cars it may do.
You could try it, only if you have a spare key though.

Once you open a door it will not self lock, if you just unlocked and didn’t open a door it will re lock

Don't just unlock the boot and throw them in there, as the boot will lock again, at least that's what happened on Mr's GLC.

Thanks for the responses. Luckily they were found. Which is good as I'm on a campsite in Spa.

No, they wont

Any version of keyless will also not let you lock the key in the car, including the boot, which will re-open if the key is inside

Note:
1) get the Mercedes me app and you can always unlock and lock from the app.
2) if you jack up a wheel and spin it, when the hall sensor sees 4mph the car will lock so don’t do it with the key inside and the doors shut

Always force of habit, if the key is inside the car, keep a window open.

I can assure you if you just open the boot on a lwb w220 with everything else locked and then drop the keys with keyless go card in the boot and close it, unless you have been lucky enough to leave the rear fridge unit out or have a spare key you will indeed be in a bit of bother.

by design it shouldnt! The antenna in the boot was probably faulty.

Possibly, but I know I can't lock the keys in either the front or rear of the passenger area, just the boot. Speaking from experience.
