Car not picking power

Hi Guys, my s320 cdi 2006, when i put foot on the gas, its not picking up, stay the same speed, sometimes, it does and sometimes it doesnt.
In a stale car, rpm was not going more than 3000, the i switch off the car and put it on, it went to 5000 rom but bowing light grey smoke.

Please advise

Sounds like it’s in limo home mode, really need the codes read (preferably by star or another Mercedes specific reader)

Its not all the time, come up and then goes?

Its not all the time, come up and then goes?

Yes, still in limp mode. A fault is trigering it, EGR flow too low, MAF sensor, Low boost etc. Restart clears the limp home mode until the secnario re-occurs and it then goes into limp mode again.
