Good Morning

Does anyone have any experience with these? I have been noticing quite a few people around where I live using them to polish their cars.

I looked for a thread previously but did not see one.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Have a look on detailingworld.co.uk - seem to remember a pretty good thread re power polishers on there.

Power polishers, the professional Buffing Machine can cause lots of problems in the wrong hands, burning thru' on edges, leaving ingrained polish on unpainted mouldings..near impossible to remove, you have to tape 'em first, ..too many different types of polishing heads etc.. But there are a few double handled ones on the 'meerkat' that usaully burn out before the car is polished

Very good points here,,it is very easy to do so much damage.

And very good for you it is Malcolm. Better than PT or press ups, and you end up with a product!

Had one for a week last year --sent it back absolute rubbish !
Do it by hand and enjoy the exercise.

Polishing by hand also helps you bond with the car, and gives you the chance to check for blemishes etc more often.

Spot on, and you get that sickly feeling when you find another mark:(:(

I bought Halford's own make polisher after it was a recommended buy in Auto Express magazine. So far so good, I'll never hand polish again, too much like hard work.

I've got that one too, but I don't use it very often - just to give it a final buff if I have time.
