Hi all,

I have a problem with my 230k clk, it has been stood in my garage for a couple of months (not been run), when I came to move it a couple of days ago the battery was completly flat. I have now charged the battery and the car trys to start then dies immediately. It seems to be some kind of fuel starvation. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks jpclk.

Always in the cases where the battery has gone flat and charged and the are problems, its always best to dis connect the battery again, leave for 10 mins, then try again.

Shot in the dark here, how much fuel do you have in the car, we have had problems with the fuel pumps here, Your fuel tank is like two in one, the fuel return from the engine returns to the left hand side of the tank, it is then siphond to the right hand side via suction pressure from the fuel pump, if you are low on fuel & do have a weak pump then this could be your problem, add some more fuel, this will go straight into the pump side of the tank & should allow the car to start, If it does start and all is well I would recommend a new pump & try to get your car onto a data check (such as star/das or carsoft) to check if your fuel tank sender units are ok, these will show if they are faulty, Let me know.

Hi,

When I last used the car it had over half a tank, it is still half a tank. The other thing i forgot to mention was the week before this happened I had the car running fine on the drive (ticking over for 10 mins) put it away in the garage as normal then came the starting problem.!! wont run....arrhhhhh

Thanks James
