Yep, in One. Remember seeing me 1st one, back in the day. £1500 new, then.
They've come a long way since.

Base list price was £1998 at the launch in June 1970......you must have been offered a good discount! When you say "come a long way" I take it you mean, much heavier, way more expensive (even allowing inflation...£1998 in 1979 is about only £40k today), way too fragile to use off road and less capable, too big for our 60s size parking spaces, no hoseable interior, and far less reliable!?

Got talking to the bloke at the time. As it was the 1st one I'd seen. He told me £1500. And if I remember correctly, it was that shitty Brown colour. With beige velour seats.
Was very impressed with it back then.
